I am an enthusiast for warm weather. When the cold weather blows in I tend to withdraw and my enthusiasm dwindles as I face another dark and cold winter.
Through “Project Me“, I have been working on embracing each day, including the cold and snowy ones. So with this morning’s lovely dusting of the white lace we call snow, I embraced the freshness of this winter Autumn day.
As luck would have it, this morning’s kitchen had the lovely fragrance of slow cooker oats simmering in the crock-pot. Perfect for weekend breakfasts where the pace is much slower or super convenient for mornings when you are rushed to get the kids off to school and you need breakfast ready 5 mins ago.
So with a warm blanket, blinds drawn and a bowl of warm goodness, I sat and contemplated how beautiful the morning was. Although it was cold outside, I was warm on the inside and content with mother nature’s dusting.
Try this recipe tomorrow morning and step out of the rush and enjoy a moment of contentment.
