Create Change

Create The Life You Want To Live

When I first read those 7 words 5 years ago, it created a change that led me on an incredible journey.  We all face challenges and suffer loss, yet at the same time we all experience joy, laughter and love.  Everyone has their story, and those that know me, know mine is long one.  But through it all, I am here today.  Just as you are here today.  Our experiences create the person we are today.

The Definition of Insanity: “To Keep Doing The Same Things & Expect Different Results”

One summer morning in Muskoka, I was sitting on the dock at my dear friend’s cottage.  It was way too early in the morning to be awake, especially after a late night with friends.  I sat alone on that dock and reflected on my sadness, angers, injustices and challenges.  With the sound of the bird’s morning songs, the gentle waves stroking the shore, and the glimmer of the sun reflecting off the calm water, I found a place of peace.  For me, those were the most pivotal 4 hours of my life.  I let go of resentment, anger, sadness and opened my heart up to gratitude and love and decided that I had it in my power to create change.  I knew I could create the life I really wanted to live.

A lot has happened in the last 5 years, and change didn’t happen over night.  My journey is quit intricate, perhaps to be published one day.  With each new day I am still making changes.   The best part is, I am happy knowing I am creating the life I want to live.  But the only way I was able to achieve this, is that I had to stop doing the same things over and over again.  I had to change my thinking and behaviors, move on and let go, focus on gratitude and learn to love myself.  One small change led to another small change, and before I knew it, bigger changes started happening.

Was my diet part of creating the life I wanted.  Absolutely.  I was tired of being defeated by life’s routine.  I was tired of being sick and tired.  Eating the right foods, and avoiding others, for me, changed many things.  Not only do I owe my vibrant health to the food I eat, my lifestyle habits also play a key role too.  This is the reason I am here today.  I want you to experience this feeling.  I want you to feel amazing and vibrant and step out from the same place you have always been.  Do something different, and expect different results.

My Authentic Self

Fast forward to today, and here I am, launching my business.  My biggest satisfaction, even from when I was a little girl, is to see others benefit from my help and expertise.   I know in my heart, helping others is what I am here to do.  It is incredibly satisfying to positively impact someone else’s life.  When I realized food could help alleviate not just our physical ailments, but our mental and emotion health, I knew I had found my calling.  Returning to school to train in the nutrition field was a big step towards becoming my authentic self.

First, I would like to thank my late father, who taught me a strong work ethic, whether it be in academics or getting my hands dirty.   He worked hard every day of his life, and I strive to be just like him.  I know I have made him proud and I live each day with his enthusiasm and excitement for life.  I love you Dad, always and forever.

Thank you to my husband of 17 years.  I am so grateful for your support and helping me balance home, family, work and school life these last few years.   Thank you for believing in me that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to.  And a special thanks to my darling children, my biggest fans, and two amazing success stories in their own health.  I am so proud that I can be a good role model and educate them on living a healthy lifestyle.

I would also like to thank my friend Chris.  It was at Chris’ lake front cottage 5 years ago that led me to my epiphany.  Thank you for your encouragement along the way as I made the leap to return to school.  I will always treasure your friendship and support.  And a special thank you to my best of friends Alex and Anita for their amazing friendship, support and love.  Having them in my corner keeps me grounded.  They always make sure I make time to enjoy the pleasures in life.

Much love to all my friends and family that support me in my journey.  This business launch is, just one of the many steps I have taken to create the life I want to live.  My mission is to educate and empower you to bring about change to help you reach your goals of vibrant health.  I am truly honoured to have you here.

The Launch

New business card, hot off the press!

I release my website today on June 2, 2017, what would have been my parent’s 44th wedding anniversary.  It seems like an appropriate day for a new beginning.  As with all new beginnings, there may be a few hiccups along the way.  I thank you for your patience.  The website is still in the development stage, so watch for more features coming soon including pre-made meal plans, resource materials, informative articles, workshops and events.

As a way to celebrate this new chapter and to bring about vibrant health to everyone, for a limited time all my nutrition programs/sessions are on sale, save the tax.  I look forward to working with all of you, as I truly believe you have the power to make changes in your diet and lifestyle to create the life, and health, that  you want to live.

Even taking one step is significant.

Each step you take makes it easier to take the next.

And even small changes in your lifestyle habits continued over the course of months, years and decades can make a profound difference.
