It’s one of my favourite times of the year – strawberry season! Not just because I can make a strawberry spinach salad, but nothing quite compares to the sweet taste of fresh, local strawberries in the summer months. Even better, these red gems are a great source of vitamin C, folate, fibre and potassium. They are low in sugar too with only 7 grams per cup!
When looking for strawberries in your supermarket, opt for organic, as strawberries are at the top of the dirty dozen list.
